First and foremost, I hope August is off to a great start for all of you. Today, I’ll be reviewing a product I’ve been using lately — the Tarte Amazonian clay waterproof brow mousse. As per usual, I’ll talk about the product and its packaging, as well as its claims and pros and cons. Lastly, I’ll be giving my final verdict on the product. *SPOILER ALERT* I’m already in love with it! Anyway, let’s get started.

About the Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Brow Mousse
To start, the Tarte Amazonian clay waterproof brow mousse is used “for perfect arches that stay beautiful all day.”
So it’s not your typical brow pencil or powder. Rather, it’s a gel-like mousse. Additionally, the mousse does not contain parabens, sulfates, or phthalates. Instead, it includes “skinvigorating ingredients” such as Amazonian clay, mineral pigments, and a botanical waterproofing agent. And did I forget to mention that Tarte is an animal cruelty-free brand?! Seriously, what’s there to hate about Tarte and their products? Plus, it retails for $29 USD, which is decent because it should last a while.
Packaging

Next, the product comes in a long, rectangular purple box. The brow mousse itself comes in a glass pot with a twist-off cap. The package also provides a double-ended bamboo brow brush, which is one of the main reasons why I bought it. On one end of the brush is a spooly, which is what I needed. The other end has an angled brush, which is perfect for shaping and filling in brows.
Claims of the Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Brow Mousse

Then here are some claims of the product:
- Light, airy consistency
- Naturally glides onto brows
- Blends seamlessly
- “Intuitively identifies your skin type to deliver benefits and restore harmony”
- “Minimizes oil around the hair follicle to balance skin and keep pigment in place”
- Naturally nourishes and hydrates to prohibit flaking or transferring
Pros and Cons

Pros:
- Lightweight product
- Easy to apply
- Looks natural
- Doesn’t smudge or transfer
- Waterproof
- Lasts all day
- Not messy
- Easy to clean up
Cons:
- Not for people who are used to brow pencils or powders
- Can be pricy for those used to drugstore products
Final Verdict

Finally, I have nothing negative to say about this product. It offers everything I look for in a brow product. Plus, it does exactly what it claims to do. I got the brow mousse in medium brown and it’s the perfect shade for my hair color. So far, I haven’t had any problems with it. It is different than applying a brow pencil or powder but I personally prefer gel. You just have to practice and find which technique works for you. I may be biased because Tarte is one of my favorite brands but I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants their eyebrows to be #onfleek.

And there you have it! I’m a huge fan of Tarte cosmetics and they never fail to keep me satisfied. So I was very happy with my purchase.

this looks like such a gorgeous product, I haven’t had the chance to try any products yet! 🙁 I really want to try some though. Great review 🙂 xo
It’s a great product! Definitely try it when you can. And thanks for reading 🙂
Tarte is one of my favorite brands ever. I wanted to try the Anastasia brow wiz but when I went to Ulta, they didn’t have my shade! You should definitely try this product though 🙂
I’ve never used anything from Tarte before. I keep hearing such great things about them, though. I’ve been using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, but this product sounds amazing. And I love a good brow!
