Previously, I reviewed the Lush Christmas Kisses wrapped gift set that I had received for Christmas. As you read, I absolutely loved it. Additionally, I was happy to get the Stila Sending My Love gift set for Christmas. The gift set came in a very gorgeous, vintage-inspired note card box with a gold foil damask pattern all over it. Stick around and read my swatch and review of Stila’s Sending My Love gift set!

“Eye Wonder” Eyeshadow Palette

The gift set came with an eyeshadow palette called “Eye Wonder.” The five eye shadow shades in the palette are: 1) Bark, 2) Cinnamon, 3) Sandstone, 4) Sangria, and 5) Pale Pink.
These five colors are so gorgeous and romantic! This palette is perfect for dark eyes and especially in the fall. Although they look vibrant on the palette, the shadows are applied very sheerly. I had to apply 2-3 layers of Bark and Pale Pink in order to get the colors to show up. Out of the entire palette, I like Bark, Cinnamon, and Sandstone the most because they’d be perfect for everyday nude looks.
“Get Cheeky” Glowing Face Palette

Another palette the gift set came with was the “Get Cheeky” glowing face palette, which consists of a bronzer, pink rose blush, and highlighter.
The bronzer is a great shade for contouring and for natural looks, which I prefer. The pink rose blush is a pretty color but unfortunately, I don’t think it looks well on my warm-toned skin. The bubblegum pink reminds me of Nicki Minaj during her Pink Friday phase. #soz
I really liked the highlighter though! It was very soft and silky when I applied it with my fingertip. I definitely see myself using the bronzer and highlighter sometime in the near future.
Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner in “Stingray”

The gift set also came with a full-size, best-selling Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in the color “Stingray.” On the rare occasion that I actually wear eyeliner, I prefer liquid liner. But I think this smudge stick would be great for tight lining or accentuating the smokey eye look. I also like that it has a twist applicator so I wouldn’t have to constantly sharpen the liner.
Just one light stroke and the eyeliner comes out very dark!
As mentioned before, the smudge stick is waterproof and I wanted to put it to the test. First, I tried rubbing the eyeliner off with my bare finger, which just smudged the liner even more. Next, I tried removing the liner with a wet tissue. Still nothing! In the picture below, you’ll see how red my arm got. It’s not a rash or allergic reaction, it’s from rubbing my arm so much! I was finally able to remove the liner with some good ol’ eye makeup remover.
Lip Glaze in “Guava”

Lastly, the gift set came with a deluxe-size, most-loved Lip Glaze in “Guava.” Stila’s Lip Glaze was one of the first makeup products I’ve ever used, all the way back in high school. I’m familiar with the color “Guava” and I love these lip glosses! Although I’m no longer a fan of lip gloss, this lip glaze will be perfect for special occasions and should match most skin tones.
Conclusion of the Stila Sending My Love Gift Set

For Christmas, I received the Stila Sending My Love gift set. The gift set included the “Eye Wonder” eyeshadow palette, “Get Cheeky” glowing face palette, smudge stick waterproof eyeliner in “Stingray,” and lip glaze in “Guava.” Normally, I don’t wear eyeshadow but the shades in the “Eye Wonder” palette would be perfect for fall, romantic looks. Next, the “Get Cheeky” glowing face palette features a bronzer, blush, and highlighter. However, the blush feels too cool for my skintone. Then, the smudge stick waterproof eyeliner is perfect for creating dark, smoky looks. Lastly, the lip glaze is great for adding some shine to your overall look. All in all, I’m satisfied with the products that came in the Stila Sending My Love gift set.
That’s it for today’s post! I wanted to make a tutorial along with this post, but I think I’ll save that for a video tutorial.
