Details of the Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Palette

Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Palette: Product Review

First of all, let’s talk about the details of the Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Palette.

According to the website and packaging, the “brush cleansing palette helps sweep away makeup, oil, and impurities from bristles to give you truer, more consistent color application.”

As a beauty blogger, I hate to admit this but I’m very bad at regularly cleaning my brushes. I just get so lazy and forget to clean them. It’s probably one of the reasons why I break out and I figured this palette would encourage me to clean my brushes more often.

I found the palette at Ulta for $9.99. Additionally, it comes with a complimentary trial size of the Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Gel.

Benefits of the Palette

Next, let’s discuss the benefits of the brush cleansing palette. Some of the benefits include:

  • Extended brush life for long-lasting makeup application
  • Performance-grade silicone: lightweight and ergonomically designed to fit comfortably over your hand
  • Exclusive multi-textured surfaces: designed to gently work between the bristles for enhanced deep cleansing

The small dots are for small brushes. The middle section of the palette with X’s is for medium brushes, and the larger dots are for larger brushes. Easy enough to remember when cleaning my brushes!

Features of the Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Palette

Then, we should focus on some features of the palette. Some key features are:

  • Flawless results
  • Removes makeup, oil, and impurities from brush bristles
  • 100% cruelty-free and vegan
  • All synthetic materials that are easy to clean
  • Dishwasher safe
  • Heat resistant

I have not tried cleaning the palette in the dishwasher and the weather isn’t warm enough to tell if it’s heat resistant. Regardless, I’m not too worried about the palette getting warped or messing up.

How to Use the Palette

Moving forward, here is how to use the palette:

Step 1: Slip your hand into the palette and squeeze a dime-size amount of our deep cleansing gel onto the tool. Add warm water to the palette.

Step 2: Swirl the brush into the gel and water across the various surfaces until the brush is clean. Rinse bristles thoroughly, being careful to not fully immerse the base of the bristles. Squeeze out the excess water.

Step 3: Rest your brushes across the surface of the tool to dry or use the panoramic case from our sets (sold separately) to dry brushes upside down.

After each use, be sure to rinse the palette with lukewarm water.

Final Verdict

Rating: 5 out of 5.

In conclusion, I think the Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Palette is awesome! The different textures on the palette definitely help you deep cleanse your brushes. There’s something grossly satisfying about swirling my brushes around the palette and seeing all of the old makeup products and colors come out of the bristles. My only advice is to not try to clean your sponges or beauty blenders with the palette, which is made specifically for brushes. I tried to clean my sponge without even thinking about the palette tore it up.

All in all, I’m very satisfied with this product. I would definitely recommend this to my friends. And now that I have this product, I will try to clean my brushes more often.

    1. I didn’t know this existed either! But I saw it on Ulta’s website. I don’t even know if they sell it in stores. Good to know I’m not the only one who’s really lazy with cleaning makeup brushes though! Let me know if you find this brush cleansing palette. x
