November 2016 Favorites

Hi everyone! It’s been a while, hasn’t it? I can’t believe we’re already in December. So much has happened since my last post… This is why I haven’t been able to sit down and write anything. Where do I even begin?! We elected a new president. That very same day, I got a new car. I’ve also been working a lot; I think I’ve only had two whole days off this last month. Between work and trying to keep a social life, I haven’t been able to relax or focus on myself. But I’m here now and finally sharing my November 2016 favorites with all of you! Let’s get started.

Rich Chigga – Dat $tick Remix (Feat. Ghostface Killah and Pouya)

I know I briefly talked about Asian hip-hop in my September 2016 favorites. But I’m gonna bring it up again because I just can’t get enough of it. Rich Chigga is a name you should remember because he’s gonna be huge in 2017. He’s a 17-year-old rapper from Indonesia who learned English by watching rap videos. At first, I couldn’t take him seriously… I don’t think anyone else could. In a reaction video to Rich Chigga’s song, “Dat $tick,” Ghostface Killah jokingly said he’d do a song with him. And then he actually joined in for the remix of “Dat $tick.” Talk about goals right there! The remix goes so hard, I feel like a badass whenever I play it in my car.

BMW 525i

Speaking of my car… I finally got a new one! I’ve been driving a 1995 Camry for a few years now and although it’s been very reliable in getting me to my destinations, it finally broke down on me. I was overdue for an upgrade. Since I finally graduated and started working two jobs, I figured I might as well treat myself to something nice. And when the opportunity came, I took it. With the help of my supportive family, I got a BMW 525i. It’s my new baby and I love it!

Rimmel London Kate Sculpting Palette

In a recent mini makeup haul, I impulsively purchased Rimmel London’s Kate Sculpting Palette because it was on sale. It works quite well for a drugstore palette. There are only three shades to choose from but I felt that they matched my skin well enough. I plan on wearing it for every day looks like when I’m in the office or running errands. Vino and Friends

Just like any other basic girl out there, I love having brunch with my friends… Or at least I try to do brunch with them. There’s a local spot in my town called Vino and Friends that offers bottomless mimosas with brunch on Saturday and Sunday. I usually work Sundays mornings so we went for Saturday brunch. I love the whole atmosphere of Vino and Friends. It’s basically a wine bar that serves a variety of food. Their eggs benedict aren’t the best but you can’t beat $10 bottomless mimosas! I’ll definitely be going back to try their other meals.

Sephora Fall 2016 VIB Sale

Sephora had their annual VIB sale back in November and I created a wishlist for it. There were some products I needed to restock on while others were holy grail products I have yet to get my hands on. While comparing my purchase to my wishlist, I pretty much stuck to what I had in mind. The only thing I didn’t get was the Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb perfume and the BECCA x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Splits Shimmering Skin Perfector Mineral Blush Duo, which I’m hoping to get during Christmas. *hint hint* If not, I’m just going to use a discount code to get them.
