Well, hello there! It’s been a while, hasn’t it? That’s because I started a new job this month. After six months of unemployment and many weeks of interviews, I’m happy to be working again. I’m still getting used to having an 8-5 schedule again. Most days, I come home and am too tired to do anything else. On top of that, I’ve been busy with Lunar New Year, Valentine’s Day, and birthdays. To celebrate, I’ve been dining out and shopping more often. I rarely ever splurge but I treated myself to a Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM tote bag. I’ve been eyeing it and my boyfriend talked me into getting it. So of course, the bag is one of my February favorites. Keep scrolling to see other things I loved this month!

Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM
First and foremost, the Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote bag was one of my February favorites. I’ve been hesitant about splurging on a designer bag. But my boyfriend talked me into treating myself. And to celebrate my new job. So I finally went out and got the Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM.
The tote bag comes in three sizes: PM (smallest), MM (medium), and GM (largest). I got the bag in the MM size with Damier Azur Canvas pattern and Rose Ballerine Pink interior lining. I like how the bag comes with a removable zipped pouch in the same design. Not to mention, the bag is spacious enough to carry your everyday needs. Louis Vuitton’s Neverfull is a classic style that’s perfect for anyone looking for a starter designer bag.

HiroNori Craft Ramen

Next, HinoNori Craft Ramen was another one of my February favorites. The Michelin-rated restaurant chain was founded by chefs Hiro and Nori, who met in LA in 2011. They serve authentic Japanese ramen made of the best ingredients. The restaurant chain has multiple locations throughout LA and Orange County.
One day, my boyfriend and I went to HinoNori for lunch. I got the tonkotsu ramen while he got the shoyu ramen. We washed our ramen down with some cold sake. The menu also offers vegan ramen, rice bowls, and savory sides.
Our food was flavorful and filling. Surprisingly, my boyfriend finished his whole bowl of ramen. However, I had to take mine to go because I couldn’t finish it. The ramen was perfect for a cold, windy day. I can’t wait to go back and try other items. If you can’t tell by my previous posts, I really love ramen. ?
Ardell Magnetic Lash Accents

Then, the Ardell Magnetic Lash Accent #001 set was my February favorite. The set includes false lashes that are easily applied via magnets, rather than an adhesive. Best of all, the magnetic lashes are reusable. You can find them at your local drugstore or Ulta for $13.99!
Ardell’s magnetic lashes are great for those who don’t want to splurge on lash extensions. They’re also great for those who aren’t as experienced with lash glue.
I bought them because I’ve been wanting to try them. And sometimes, wearing waterproof mascara harms my natural lashes. Plus, they save me time while getting ready. I recommend the Ardell magnetic lashes for any beauty guru who wants to effortlessly look glamourous. Refer to my selfie in bed pictured above. ?
Lunar New Year

Another one of my February favorites was Lunar New Year. In my previous post, I mentioned how Lunar New Year, Valentine’s Day, and President’s Day all landed on the same weekend this year. That three-day weekend was a long and busy one for me. Mainly because my parents came to visit for the weekend. So my boyfriend and I got to celebrate Lunar New Year with them.
Due to coronavirus, this year’s Lunar New Year was far from typical. There were no huge celebrations, gatherings, or parades. Instead, my parents and I celebrated by eating hot pot and shopping at South Coast Plaza. Even though we couldn’t go all out like we normally do, I’m glad I got to see my parents.
And I’m excited for the year of the ox! May the new year bring you plenty of strength, health, and wealth.
Entraña Cambalache with Chimichurri Sauce

Lastly, entraña Cambalache with chimichurri sauce was a February favorite. My boyfriend’s sister had a birthday in February. We celebrated by going out for dinner.
It was my first time having Argentinian food. I wasn’t sure what to order so my boyfriend suggested steak. We ordered the entraña Cambalache, which is a grilled skirt steak with sea salt and pepper. Of course, we asked for it to be cooked medium-rare. The steak came with the restaurant’s signature chimichurri sauce and our choice of side. We chose the sautéed vegetables.
The entraña Cambalache was so tender and perfectly cooked. I dipped each slice of steak in the chimichurri sauce, which was so flavorful. In between each piece of steak, I had a bit of veggie. And I washed it all down with a glass of sangria.
Everything was packed with flavor. Not to mention, very filling. My boyfriend and I shared the entraña Cambalache but still had half to take back home. I can’t believe it was my first time having Argentinian food. But it definitely won’t be my last time!
And there you have it! February was a short but busy month for me. Time flew but I was able to enjoy some things. After half a year of unemployment, I started working again. I celebrated Lunar New Year, Valentine’s Day, and birthdays. I splurged on a designer back and I indulged in flavorful food. If none of that exposes the Taurus in me, I don’t know what does.
What were some of your favorites for February?
