Lavender Oil and 5 More September 2016 Favorites
Hi everyone! I’m back with my favorites for the month of September. Seriously, where did this month go? I can’t believe fall is already here and it’s almost October… This means Halloween, sweater weather, and hot drinks are just around the corner! ButΒ it still feels like summer here in California. And while I’m still in summer mode, let’s recap my September 2016 favorites. Some of this month’s favorites included the iHeartRadio Music Festival, lavender oil, and TV shows. Keep reading for more!

Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte
Fall is here! That means #PSL is back at Starbucks. And if loving pumpkin spice lattes makes me basic, then so be it. I’m basic and proud of it. The only difference is that I prefer my PSLs to be iced and with soy. If you haven’t had it like that, definitely try it! Also, you can buy your own bags of Tazo Chai Pumpkin Spice and brew your own latte at home.
Atlanta
Donald Glover, AKA Childish Gambino, is finally back on television with his own show. I’ve loved him ever sinceΒ CommunityΒ and I was overly excited when I found out he was returning to TV. The showΒ AtlantaΒ is refreshing and different than anything else I’ve seen so far. It touches on relevantΒ topics such asΒ hip-hop, doing whatever it takes to makeΒ it big, and the adversities African Americans still face today. But all seriousness aside, the show is able to lighten the mood with some humor. Not to mention, the showΒ gave a nod to Asian hip-hop and featured Korean rapper Keith Ape‘s song, “It G Ma,”Β in last week’s episode. I’m so glad the show hasΒ already been renewed for a second season! It’s quickly and easily becoming my new favorite show.
Lavender Oil

I’ve heard about so many benefits of lavender oil and I originally wanted to try it to heal my scars faster. But I’ve actually been rubbing it on my wrists and the soles of my feet before bed and let me tell you… It’s so calming and relaxing, I sleep so much better now!Β Whenever I feel anxious, I apply some lavender oil and I instantly feel calmer. Next time I take a bath, I want to add some drops of lavender oil and see how it feels.
American Horror Story: My RoanokeΒ Nightmare
It’s Wednesday… Meaning it’s American Horror Story night!! I’m so happy AHS is back. This season looks very promising and I’m glad they’re bringing back elements ofΒ horror and gore, rather than focusing on sex and glamor. The season premiere was already scary enough, I couldn’tΒ stand to watch the show alone. Not even with all the lights on! And oftentimes, I have to look away from the screen because I’m so scared. We’ll see how this season unfolds!
2016 iHeartRadio Music Festival: Daytime Village
Last weekend, my best friends and I went to Vegas for a friend’s birthday and the iHeartRadio Music Festival. Vegas was so much fun, as always. We went out for drinks and karaoke the first night. Then we went to iHeartRadio Daytime Village. I got to see artists like Tinashe, DNCE, Jeremih, Alessia Cara. And of course, my favorites, the Chainsmokers. Then Saturday night, we went to XS and saw David Guetta. On Sunday afternoon, we tried to see the Chainsmokers again at Wet Republic but we only had a few hours before our flight back home. So we decided to walk the strip instead. I didn’t get to do everything I wanted but it was still a fun trip and I’m already thinking about going back!
