CoverGirl Queen Collection Review

My last post was a product review on Valentia’s newest clay mask and today’s post is going to be about the CoverGirl Queen Collection, which I received for testing purposes. CoverGirl Queen Collection Review

Recently, I received an Influenster VoxBox containing CoverGirl Queen products such as their natural hue liquid makeup, False Lash Drama Mascara, and Stay Luscious lipstick… All complimentary for testing purposes! According to CoverGirl’s website, the Queen Collection is “makeup for dark skin.”

But after testing it out on my own, the products also suit my medium, warm skin tones. Now let’s take a look at all the royal products a queen must-have in her collection!

CoverGirl Natural Hue Liquid Makeup

First, the CoverGirl Queen Collection Natural Hue Liquid Makeup is a “lightweight, oil-free, liquid formula with built-in moisturizers [that] continuously hydrates skin for a soft, smooth, radiant finish.”

I received the foundation in the shade “classic bronze.” At first, I was afraid it was about two shades darker than my skin tone. But I applied it with a beauty blender and it didn’t look too bad. Fully highlighting and contouring also helped blend out the foundation and its shades even more. Needless to say, it really did give my skin a bronzed, radiant finish! Also, I liked how it provided full coverage and felt soft and smooth on my skin.

CoverGirl False Lash Drama Mascara

Next, the CoverGirl Queen False Lash Drama Mascara “features a transformative double-sided brush that brings even your smallest lashes to life” without having to apply false lashes.

Personally, I prefer waterproof mascara because I have very short, thin lashes that don’t hold curls well. Although the False Lash Drama Mascara doesn’t give the effect of falsies, it definitely lengthens and volumizes my lashes! Surprisingly, the mascara lasts long and is easy to wash off. However, my only complaint is that it’s not waterproof. If CoverGirl offered a waterproof version of this mascara, I would definitely purchase it.

CoverGirl Stay Luscious Lipstick

Finally, the CoverGirl Queen Collection Stay Luscious Lipstick “has a waterproof formula that locks in color and moisture for an unrivaled, all-day effect.”

I got the Stay Luscious Lipstick in the shade “Monarch” and I absolutely love it! It’s a dark, burgundy color that’s perfect for a night out and definitely long-lasting. I can’t wait to try out the other shades!

Final Verdict

That’s about it for today’s post. I was so excited when my CoverGirl Queen Collection VoxBox came in. Of all the products I tested, the lipstick was definitely my most favorite one and I plan on purchasing more. I’ve tried better mascaras but would recommend the foundation to my friends looking for a low-budget product. After all, every queen deserves to look and feel good without having to break the bank! And of course, here’s an obligatory selfie to show the overall look. I’m really happy with the final look!
