August is coming to an end and it’s back-to-school season! While I’m no longer a student, I made sure to enjoy my summer before autumn officially starts. This month, I discovered some new favorites while doing things I’ve never done before. For example, my boyfriend and I went to Ventura County for wine tasting. Also, I tried the Dermablend CC Cream for the first time and ended up liking it. Read on to see the rest of my August favorites!

Dermablend CC Cream
First, the Dermablend’s Continuous Correction Tone-Evening CC Cream SPF 50+ was one of my August favorites. It is a full coverage, weightless, and breathable CC cream. The Dermablend CC Cream is suitable for all skin types, including oily, dry, acne-prone, and aging skin. For myself, I wear the Dermablend CC Cream on days when I need full coverage, as well as sun protection. I like this CC cream because it evens out my skin tone and protects my skin from the sun. It is available at Ulta for $39 USD.
Too Cool for School Coconut Sugar Scrub Lip Balm
The Too Cool for School Coconut Sugar Scrub Lip Balm is a long-lasting lip exfoliator and moisturizer. I use the sugar scrub lip balm whenever my lips are dry and chapped. So this sugar scrub lip balm is ideal for people who need to exfoliate their lips. I like the sugar scrub lip balm because it exfoliates my lips and leaves them tasting sweet like coconut. You can find the Too Cool for School Coconut Sugar Scrub Lip Balm on Amazon for $8.99.
Wine Tasting at Lester Family Cellars
Next, wine tasting at Lester Family Cellars was one of my August favorites. The small-batch winery is located in Ventura County and has an outdoor garden where the wine tasting takes place. The cellar is family-owned and operated. Not to mention, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We all tried the red wine flight and the cabernet was my favorite. Out of all the reds, I usually go for cabernet. And whenever you’re in Ventura County, make sure you check out Lester Family Cellars.
Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum
Then, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum was one of my August favorites. While we were in Ventura County, we decided to check out the presidential library. The museum is a federal archive of Reagan’s life and presidency. It also features an Air Force One exhibit where you can walk through a Boeing 707. I didn’t think I’d enjoy the museum as much, but it turned out to be a cool experience. So if you’re into US history and culture, you’ll enjoy visiting the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum.
Lastly, Euphoria was one of my August favorites. Euphoria is an HBO series that follows a group of high schoolers as they deal with relationships, sex, and drugs. The show stars familiar faces such as Zendaya, Eric Dane from Grey’s Anatomy, and Jacob Elordi from The Kissing Booth. I was recommended to watch the series by my sister. After watching the pilot, I was hooked and couldn’t stop watching. I ended up finishing season one in just two days. I enjoyed the show because it reminded me of Skins, but with more modern issues. So if high school drama is your thing, I recommend watching Euphoria on HBO Max.
That’s it for my August favorites! I discovered new beauty faves such as the Dermablend CC Cream and Too Cool for School Coconut Sugar Scrub Lip Balm. Then I binged on Euphoria and now have to wait for season two. And lastly, I went wine tasting and visited the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum. All in all, it was a good month for me.
