Last weekend, I spent a day at Disney’s Pixar Fest. Ending on September 3rd, Pixar Fest is a special event that celebrates all things Pixar at both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. The special event features Pixar-related parades, decorations, limited edition merchandise, food, and drinks. On top of that, Disneyland is having a special going on until the end of Pixar Fest — annual pass holders can bring a friend at a discounted price of a one-day hopper ticket. My cousins are annual pass holders and they invited me and my sister to tag along for Pixar Fest. Of course, we couldn’t say no to Disneyland or discounts. So we took advantage of the deal before it ended. Keep reading to see how we spent our day at Disney’s Pixar Fest!
A Day at Disney’s Pixar Fest
Morning Time at Disney California Adventure
6:00 am | We woke up and got ready for the day.
8:00 am | Everyone was finally ready so we walked from our hotel to the Toy Story lot, where we got onto a shuttle to Disneyland.
8:25 am | We got in line and got our hopper passes. Since California Adventure closes before Disneyland, we decided to start our day at California Adventure.
8:39 am | Some of our group were hungry and wanted to get Starbucks. While they waited in the long line to get their coffee and pastries, I took the opportunity to get a picture with Walt and Mickey.
9:02 am | Everyone got their food and caffeine so we walked down Buena Vista Street to Hollywood Land. We decided to go on Radiator Springs Racers first, which was a 75-minute wait.
10:51 am | We finally got out of Cars Land and roamed around Paradise Pier to see what they had for Pixar Fest.
Lunch Time at Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta
11:48 am | Everyone was starting to get hungry so we stopped at Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta for lunch. I didn’t want to be too full or uncomfortable to go on rides. So instead of pizza or pasta, I settled for an Italian chef salad.
Afternoon at Disneyland
12:29 pm | After everyone finished their lunch, we decided to go on Toy Story Midway Mania! before hopping over to Disneyland. Although my sister scored better than me, my shots were more accurate.
1:09 pm | We hopped over to Disneyland and rode a jitney from Main Street to Fantasyland. From there, we walked towards Frontierland and got on Jungle Cruise. Then, we walked to New Orleans Square and got on Pirates of the Caribbean.
2:50 pm | After riding Jungle Cruise and Pirates of the Caribbean, my cousins decided to get on Splash Mountain. My sister and I didn’t want to wait in long lines again so we took the downtime to snack and shop.
3:20 pm | Our cousins finally got off Splash Mountain and we met up in Main Street, where we took the railroad around the whole park to Tomorrowland.
4:31 pm | We continued to wait in more long lines. While waiting to get on Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, we took the advantage of the picture-perfect moment.
5:46 pm | After Astro Blasters, we walked over to ride Star Tours.
Evening Time at Pixar Fest
6:34 pm | By the time we got of Star Tours, we were hungry again. We ate at the Plaza Inn, then hopped back over to Disney California Adventure Park.
7:30 pm | My cousins wanted to ride the Grizzly River Run but the sun was starting to set and I didn’t want to walk around at night with wet clothes. So while they rode Grizzly River Run, my sister and I did some more shopping.
9:47 pm | We headed back to Disneyland. While everyone was watching the fireworks, we took advantage of the short wait times and got on some rides in Fantasyland. Some of the rides included Storybook Land Canal Boats, Casey Jr. Circus Train, Pinocchio’s Daring Journey, and Snow White’s Scary Adventures.
11:07 pm | By the time we were done with the Fantasyland rides, we were exhausted and ready to head back to the hotel. But we didn’t want to waste our tickets. So the last ride of the night was Autopia.
We got back to the hotel around midnight and were drained! I already can’t wait to go back to Disneyland. After Pixar Fest is over this weekend, Halloween decorations should start going up. If you’re in the area and are available this weekend, definitely check out Pixar Fest!
