Last weekend, my coworker attended Ipsy’s GenBeauty 2017 in San Francisco. On Monday, she came back to work with a tote bag full of goodies! Since she had duplicates of some samples, she told the other girls in the office to take whatever they want. Lately, I’ve been more interested in skincare than makeup. So naturally, I grabbed a random skincare sample. Surprisingly, it ended up being a sample size of Skinfix’s Foaming Clay Cleanser. If you’re interested, keep reading to learn more about my first time trying the Skinfix Foaming Clay Cleanser.

In 1870, a pharmacist from Yorkshire, England named Thomas Dixon created the original Skinfix healing balm. Dixon’s original Skinfix healing balm targeted skin redness, itching, inflammation, cracking, and dryness. No matter the skin concern, Dixon wanted to make sure that his product’s formulas included clean and active ingredients.
Fast forward to the present day, Skinfix is now a skincare line founded by Amy Risley. Risley’s father worked for Estée Lauder in the 1970s, which sparked her passion for skincare. After university, Amy started working for L’Oréal. Since then, Risley has spent over 20 years in the beauty and skincare industry. She hopes to continue the mission of Dixon and to provide clean and effective skincare ingredients.

I usually use gel cleansers so a clay-to-foam cleanser was new to me. Regardless, the Skinfix Foaming Clay Cleanser did its job by removing dirt, makeup, and impurities from my skin. It left my skin feeling soft and silky. I’m sure I will have to continue using the product to see more results in the long run. Overall, I was satisfied with Skinfix’s Foaming Clay Cleanser but not impressed enough to go out and buy it.
