Coachella 2017 Lookbook and Recap

I’m back from Coachella and finally fully recovered! It was my first time at the festival and also my first time camping for four full days. Luckily, I went with some friends who’ve camped out for Coachella before. They knew what they were doing and they took care of me. So I was definitely in good hands! I’m still suffering from heat rashes but everything else went well. Stick around to see my Coachella 2017 lookbook and recap!

On day one of Coachella 2017, I watched Preservation Hall Jazz Band, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Bonobo, Glass Animals, Mac Miller, Steve Angello, The xx, DJ Shadow, and Radiohead. At 97 degrees, Friday was the coolest day of the weekend. My friend Hillary and I unintentionally matched with high waisted jean shorts and a lacy black bralette.

On day two of Coachella 2017, I saw Chicano Batman, Bastille, Two Door Cinema Club, Future, ScHoolboy Q, Martin Garrix, DJ Snake, and Lady Gaga. Saturday was the hottest day of the weekend so I decided to wear my white romper from Stella Laguna Beach. I paired it with a floppy hat, which blocked my face from the sun and kept me cool.

Day Three

On the last day of Coachella 2017, I rocked baby space buns and watched Toots and the Maytals, Grouplove, Porter Robinson & Madeon, Hans Zimmer, Galantis, Justice, and New Order. I wanted to watch Kendrick Lamar but I missed his entire set… although I could hear him.

Long story short — there’s a lot of dust and wind in Indio. I was outdoors for four days straight and didn’t bring a bandana. On the last day of Coachella, my nose was so irritated, it started bleeding and wouldn’t stop. So I went to the medical tent for some gauze. I missed Kendrick Lamar’s entire set but I could hear everything. No one ever talks about the dust at Coachella but I’ve learned my lesson — bring a bandana to cover your nose and mouth from the dust at Coachella.

I will definitely be more prepared for Coachella next year!

  1. You chose some very appropriate outfits not only for the festival but for the weather itself 🙂 anyway they’re all cute I love it, but I think the last day is my favorite outfit on you 🙂
I have never been camping before but it’s cool that you got to do it with friends! 🙂

    1. Thank you!! I wanted to dress super cute but I was more concerned about staying cool. And thanks again!! I was a little unsure about my outfit for the last day but it’s nice to hear you liked it!

You should definitely try camping at least once! It’s something everyone should experience at least once.

  2. Glad you had fun! Never did the camping thing, but I probably would have if it were with the right people. I didn’t really bother getting photos of myself in my outfits, but I’ll feature them once I get around to my Weekend 2 post. If you plan on going again next year, definitely bring a bandana. That pretty much saved me walking to the shuttle area at night.

    1. Camping is a lot of fun and convenient! Our campsite was right outside the festival so we could easily come and go whenever we want. You should definitely try it next time. And I’ll for sure be bringing a bandana next year. I can’t wait to see your outfits and pictures when you post them!

  3. Ohh man I love these festival vibes. The romper was my favorite outfit. My bestie is all about Coachella and does that whole camping thing. I don’t think I can do all that lol, especially in that heat. Total bummer you weren’t able to see Kendricks set. His new album is pretty good. And by golly you are just so cute! The whole time I was like, aw.

    1. Yasss, festival vibes all summer long!! I already got a tan from the 4 days at Coachella lmao. Thanks girl, the romper is my favorite too. Aww, maybe I’ll do lookbooks more often!! I just need someone to take my pictures for me haha. And I’m bummed I missed Kendrick! But not really because I saw him open for Drake many years ago.
