February 2017 Favorites

Hey everyone! I can’t believe we’re already at the end of February. Between work, grad school apps, and traveling, this month has been hectic for me. I haven’t been consistent with my posting schedule but I have set aside some time to share my February 2017 favorites with you!

Ansel Elgort – “Thief”

Ansel Elgort is well-known for his role as Augustus Waters in The Fault in Our Stars but he’s also a singer and DJ! Earlier this month, he released his latest single, “Thief.” The music video stars Ansel and his real life girlfriend, Violetta Komyshan. The video is dark and sexy but you can definitely sense their on-and-offscreen chemistry. The video also reminded me of the Weeknd’s music video for “Starboy” but I loved it! I can’t wait to see more of Ansel’s musical side.

Armin van Buuren’s Embrace Tour

Armin van Buuren is one of the most legendary DJs and I was lucky to see him on his Embrace Tour. It was a very last minute and spontaneous trip to go see him but everything worked out. He played for three hours straight and kept going harder. It was definitely a night to remember and I’d do it all over again if I could.

Derma E Purifying 2-in-1 Charcoal Mask

I recently received complimentary samples of Derma E‘s Purifying 2-in-1 Charcoal Mask and Purifying Daily Detox Scrub to sample and review. So far, I’ve tried the Purifying 2-in-1 Charcoal Mask and I enjoyed the benefits of it! Right after applying the mask, my face felt cleaner and smoother. I still have yet to try the Purifying Daily Detox Scrub so expect a full review soon!

Kygo & Selena Gomez – “It Ain’t Me”

February has been a great month for music altogether. Kygo recently dropped a single with Selena Gomez and I’ve had it on repeat. I love how DJs have been collaborating with artists outside of their genre; it creates a new, unique sound that’s easily a hit.

My February 2017 favorites are mostly music related but I have to include my latest beauty obsession — the Alexis Ren X Colourpop collaboration. The makeup collection released at the beginning of February and the pressed powder face duo instantly sold out. Fortunately, Colourpop restocked the coveted bronzer/highlighter duo and I was able to order them, along with some lippies in the collection. I did a brief overview about the line over at On the Edge but I will doing a personal review on here soon.

That’s it for my February 2017 favorites! I’m going to try my best to be more consistent with posts next month. For now, I’m going to enjoy the rest of my Sunday and watch the Oscars. Take care!

  1. I had no idea Ansel sang o.o personally not really feeling the song but maybe it will grow on me. I love the new remix song featuring Selena Gomez though!

Have yet to try Colourpop. Had never heard a bad word about them.

    1. Yeah, he also DJs! It’s crazy. His voice is interesting, it took awhile to grow on me too. But I do believe he’s quite talented!

You should definitely try Colourpop! I love them. They’re so cheap and longlasting.
