Positivity Tag + International Day of Happiness

Hi everyone!

First off, I would like to apologize for being MIA, even after I have announced about myself returning from hiatus. Literally all I have been doing is work, intern, and hang out with my friends whenever I can. All of my grad school apps have been turned in. Now I just have to wait and try to relax.

Anyway, today is International Day of Happiness. Despite the stress I struggle with every day, I try my best to stay positive. I’ve finally learned that it’s much healthier to choose happiness rather than to dwell on a negative thought. It’s still a learning process but I’ve definitely gotten better at controlling my emotions and reactions. And since today is dedicated to choosing happiness, I thought it would be appropriate to post the Positivity Tag!

This tag was created by my lovely blogger friend, Becca, over at Becca-Anne Beauty. I want to thank her for tagging me in this post; I think it’s an awesome idea to spread positivity and boost each other’s confidence. If you haven’t done so yet, please check out and follow her blog. She posts great product reviews and makeup tutorials. She’s also expecting a baby so she has a lot of exciting things to post about!

The Rules:

  1. Mention the creator of this tag.
  2. Mention and thank the person who tagged you.
  3. Tag at least 5 other bloggers.
  4. Mention one nice thing about each blogger that you have tagged.
  5. For this tag please do not change the questions 🙂
  6. Don’t forget to let those you have tagged know that you have tagged them!

The Questions:

  1. What is the best feature that you like about yourself?
I really like my legs! And my boobs because they’re all natural. 😉
  2. Name one thing that you feel you have achieved in the past 5 years?
In the past 5 years, I have definitely gained a lot more self-confidence. Five years ago, I was very insecure. Now I have a much better sense of myself and have learned to love myself, flaws and all. I’m no longer easily bothered by what others think about me.
  3. What are your goals for the next 5 years?
In the next 5 years, I hope to receive my Master’s and hopefully my PhD. I want to leave my hometown, have my own place, and live happily and comfortably.
  4. Have you made someone smile in the past week?
Most likely, it’s my job to be overly friendly.
  5. What is the most selfless thing that you have done for someone?
This is a tough question… These last few years, I’ve been working so hard to put myself first. I guess I can’t recall the most selfless thing I’ve done, to be honest.
  6. What is the best thing about your personality?
My best thing about my personality is my patience and perseverance. I work in a restaurant and constantly dealing with people takes a lot of patience. My coworkers and friends always ask how I do it without losing my cool. I honestly think it’s something you work on over time.
  7. How would your friends describe you?
They would probably describe me as laid back but ambitious. I don’t know, you should ask them!
  8. What is the one thing that you feel you are good at?
As you can see in my Plan With Me posts, I’m good at staying organized!
  9. What are you most grateful for in your life?
I’m most grateful for my family and the never-ending support they show me.
  10. Recall one situation that you have learnt from.
Most recently, I’ve learned that the key to happiness is to stop expecting things from other people. My anxiety was rooted in my expectations and assumptions. But then I started accepting things for the way they are and have been a lot happier.

I tag:

  1. Beautiful Breakable
Jess is one of my favorite beauty bloggers! She posts awesome makeup tutorials and product reviews. I wish I had the same eyeshadow skills as her!
  2. Danielle Jade
Danielle is a lifestyle blogger based in London. She’s always attending awesome events and I love her photographic style!
  3. Look It’s Laura
Laura is one of my friends IRL. We went to the same university and give each other blog ideas. She recently started blogging about trying 50 new things for her marketing class.
  4. Darly
Darly is a beauty blogger who posts product reviews but also recently posted her first YouTube video — it’s how to make a flower garland. Definitely check it out!
  5. Alohalotte
Charlotte was one of my first blogging friends when I joined WordPress. She likes to post #OOTDs but I really enjoy her more personal posts because I can relate to them.

That’s it for today, beautiful people. I hope you enjoyed the first day of spring!

What’s one thing that makes you happy? For me, it’s house music. Let me know in the comments. Don’t forget to like & subscribe. Have a lovely day! x

  1. Reading this post made me so happy! I especially liked how honest you were on #5. To me, that is a good reminder that it is okay to put yourself and your happiness first. 🙂 I know I’m probably too late to say this, but welcome back from your hiatus!
