Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder

I have combination/oily skin and I’ve had my eyes on the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder for the longest time. Laura Mercier’s Translucent Loose Setting Powder is lightweight and easy to apply. Not to mention, the powder is long-wearing and comes in a matte finish. Previously, I’ve used the pressed powder and I loved it. Especially the double-textured sponge! But I’d rather use loose-setting powder so I can bake my makeup. This makes the loose-setting powder perfect for people with oily, combination, and normal skin. You can find a 1 oz. jar of the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder for $39 at Sephora.
Original beautyblender Makeup Sponge

I have a few knockoff makeup sponges but they’ve been worn out due to improper cleaning techniques. Side note: do not clean your sponges using a makeup cleaning palette. Instead, just use your hands. I’ve been reluctant to purchase the original beautyblender because seriously… Why would I want to pay $20 for a sponge?! But it is the original makeup sponge that features super-soft, exclusive, latex-free foam. And I’m sure its texture and quality are better than others. So I have to give it a try and hope it’s worth the splurge. Plus, the original beautyblender is best for people with oily, combination, and normal skin. Also, the original beautyblender is good for dark circles, fine lines, and wrinkles.
BECCA x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Splits Shimmering Skin Perfector Mineral Blush Duo in Flowerchild

I’ve been trying to get my hands on the BECCA x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop highlighter for the longest time. Thankfully, it is no longer a limited edition product and Sephora will continue to carry it. The last time I went to Sephora, I tried the Champagne Splits Shimmering Skin Perfector Mineral Blush Duo in “flower child“ and absolutely fell in love with the coral color. It looked so good on my skin! And this blush duo is limited edition so I have to have it before it sells out.

Anastasia Beverly Hills DIPBROW Pomade in Ash Brown

I think it’s safe to say that the Anastasia Beverly Hills DIPBROW Pomade is almost every girl’s holy grail eyebrow product. So many YouTubers and makeup gurus rave about this product. The Anastasia Beverly Hills DIPBROW Pomade is a smudge-free, waterproof, and all-in-one brow product. I’ve been using another brow pomade but I definitely want to see what the hype is all about. The Anastasia Beverly Hills DIPBROW Pomade is available in a range of shades from taupe to granite. You can find your matching shade for $21 at Sephora.

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb

The Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb perfume is another product that’s been on my wishlist for quite a while. In 2020, Flowerbomb was named allure’s Best of Beauty Award Winner. The perfume features scents of rosebud, jasmine, patchouli, and vanilla. So the Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb perfume is perfect for people who love floral scents. Personally, I love floral scents and this is perfect! A 1.7 oz bottle of Viktor & Rolf’s Flowerbomb costs $115 at Sephora.
Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer

A while back, I got a sample of the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer and absolutely fell in love with it. The Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer is an oil-free primer with SPF 15. It’s soft, velvety, sinks into your skin, and is the perfect primer. No wonder it’s $54!! But this primer has been at the top of my wishlist forever and I plan on finally making the splurge. Additionally, the primer is perfect for people with normal, dry, combination, or oily skin.

I’ll have to look into the setting powder once I get through the ones I’m currently using. I have a travel size of the Veil primer. Good stuff!
Avec Valerie
RCubedWhich setting powders are you using right now?
RCubed
Avec ValerieI alternate between NYX HD and Rimmel’s Stay Matte. I’m willing to try other ones out given that they can tone down the shine from my T-zone.
Avec Valerie
RCubedSo do you prefer pressed powder over loose powder?
RCubed
Avec ValerieI’ve used both kinds, but the 2 I currently have are pressed. No preference really, as long as it’s effective.

Oh my gosh I’ve heard so many good things about the Laura Mercier translucent powder! I would totally shell out and get some of I had the money hahaha I only just started baking and I honestly don’t know how I didn’t have it in my routine before! Also, is the One Direction perfume good? I’ve seen it about but have no idea what it smells like ;p

AshleeI got the Laura Mercier powder and it’s amazing!! It sets my makeup AND controls my oil! I don’t have to blot as much anymore. Haha yes, the 1D perfume does smell good! It’s one of my favorites. It’s a sweet, feminine, floral scent but isn’t overpowering. Thanks for stopping by! x

Great shopping list!
I’ve heard so many great things about that Laura Mercier powder – am curious about it.
If you want your Beauty Blender sponge to last really long, wash it wearing dish washing gloves. I do that and I’ve had the same one for 2 years. I also wash mine right away after I’ve used it so nothing gets dried inside.
I did my shopping list last week:

And I just received the my order – lots of stuff I didn’t absolutely NEED… π

stashyThank you for the Beauty Blender tip!! I will have to try it. It’s still in the packaging right now, I haven’t opened it because I’m too scared to use it and mess it up! But I saw your list and loved it. Thanks for sharing! x
